Custom Snowboards and Skis

Liberation snowboards and skis is a culmination of 35 years of riding, racing, building, testing, failing, succeeding and refining our designs, constructions, and manufacturing techniques to bring this board line to the market. What has happened over those 35 years you may ask?  It started with the simple desire to snowboard, it was new but familiar, and constantly tugged at me to get out there and ride.  There were not a lot of options 35 years ago, the lack of options drove me to begin experimenting with my own designs and manufacturing techniques.  There were a lot of failures, however each failure was a learning moment that drove the next design, shape, material, manufacturing process and ultimately lead to more successes.  During this time of growth, I received my degree in mechanical engineering with an emphasis on manufacturing.  This was crucial in adding another dimension to perfecting my craft.  Over those years I have had the privilege  to ride with and build boards for such a diverse set of riders, from local legends to up and coming groms to world champions, each having a unique and personal take on the sport.  Little did they know, they were providing me with valuable tidbits of knowledge helping me to constantly refine each board.  This continues today, constantly refining, trying different materials, manufacturing techniques, and the pure excitement of taking a fresh board straight from the press to the slopes is still what drive me forward.  I hope I can build you a board that fits your riding style, and you enjoy your season!
